Teen-age is supposedly a time of great confusion. Do you think that story was really happening or was it all a fantasy in Joel's mind while he raked leaves in the yard? Part of the time he knew he was dreaming (the babysitter), but could he have dreamed or day-dreamed the whole thing?

If he 'did' dream the whole thing then he would need a good jab up the bottom for being completely and utterly delusional! I mean, what a fantasy to have (I do not remember leaves but I most certainly remember the rocking chair and train scene!) This was the first film I ever saw Tom Cruise in and by jove! I carry those feelings to this day. Much more hardcore than porn and much more filling than chocolate, Risky Business paved my way to Tom Cruise from that momoent onwards and ever since I have liked him. Tom ALWAYS plays the same characters in his films as he is so strong as an actor. Whatever the film was about...Whatever the fantasies this boy had/didn't have...It's all good and you know why? Beacuse Tom was the lead role! Wow...And what a performance from Rebecca too! No wonder Tom went out with her!
